SUMMARY:Winter Deepening
DESCRIPTION:Incense and root winter dreaming \nThe Deepening classes are a chance for those who have already studied with the school (for at least the Foundation year) to dive back in with the plants\, reconnect with the school\, receive mentoring and guidance on their unfolding path and reconnect with peers. They are intended for people who feel ready to dive straight into the plant work. \nCurrent students\, those in the journey-person stage\, folk who’ve take time away from the school and graduates are all equally welcome. These days can be taken as CPD. \nIn this early December session we will be dropping into a deep dreaming state with roots and smokes\, welcoming in the liminal magic of winter. \nThe £40 is a deposit towards the course fee of £220 – deposits really help me manage numbers\, confirm places and dream into the cauldron of people we will be weaving together. \n

SUMMARY:Witch Wound (afternoon session)
DESCRIPTION:Exploring the Witch Wound \nMany years of training herbalists has shown me how present the Witch Wound still is among us — expressed through countless micro-aggressions\, not only those we experience from others\, but also those we have internalised and turn against ourselves. Left unexamined\, this subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) wound can profoundly affect how we grow in sensitivity\, deepen our connection with nature\, and trust our own expression of it. \nThe witch trials\, spanning over 300 years\, left a vast imprint on the collective psyche. While the direct trauma inflicted on those accused was horrific\, our work with this lineage reveals something even broader: that the cultivation of otherness and hatred — enforced through violence and torture — seeded a miasm of fear that still moves through our culture today. Even those not drawn to nature-connection may need to look closely at the subtle ways they have inherited or perpetuated this pattern of suppression toward those who walk these paths. \nIn this Zoom session\, there will be space to share your own experiences of this wound and to listen to the stories of others. Together\, we will hold a simple ritual to honour those who have walked these paths before us and to cultivate a compassionate field of solidarity — one that can support you as you continue on your way. \n \n

It has proven really popular so\n \nI hope to extend this offering soon. \n\n\n\n\nIn this course\, I offer guidance throughout the year\, complemented by our new online introduction. We’ll journey together through a series of engaging Zoom sessions\, each one dedicated to exploring and connecting with a different plant. These immersive plant encounters are designed to deepen your understanding and foster a profound connection with each plant. Two weeks before each session\, I’ll be inviting you to spend time with a specific plant – when we come together we will share experiences\, be inspired by each other and explore how to deepen the connection. Each plant we work with will also be reflected in one of the Oracle cards that we are releasing this year.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nUpon enrollment\, you’ll receive access to the online Introduction. I highly recommend diving into this material as thoroughly as possible before our first meeting in March. This preparatory exploration will enrich your experience\, and I warmly encourage you to bring any questions or insights that emerge during this initial phase. Experience has shown that journeying together through the year like this really helps deepen your connection and confidence. As part of the course I’ll be encouraging people to pair up / form small groups to help the work keep unfolding for you. \n\n\n\nThe dates for our meetings are all Fridays: 15th March\, 12th April\, 10th May\, 7th June\, 30th August\, 27th September. \nUpdate: I’m hoping to extend the 7th June event to a 10-4pm in person event at the Farm (GL6 7LE)\, but waiting on confirmation on this!
